Proper place for our entire way of life

Setting things right for ourselves is our instinct. Yet today, God wants us to enter into HIS plan. He is there to set us right, not asking us to set right for ourselves, so that we can get in step with him by letting him set the pace but are not running our own parade.

In Eugene Peterson's version, it's a God-story, not an Abraham story.

"What we read in Scripture is, 'Abraham entered into what God was doing for him, and that was the turning point.' He trusted God to set him right instead of trying to be right on his own." (Romans 4:3)

In Abraham's life, we seldom find him playing an active role. But he reacted with faith, in all the unavoidable realities. He chose plunging into God's promise, even amongst all the choices that run against his views. That's how he entered into God's plan.

Do we trust What God has in store for us?

Can we still shout praise to God, not focusing on our own impotence and weaknesses and all the troubles that hemmed in?

Reuniting with Him, we were no longer at odds long before we were still sinners and at our worst. Now, we have received this "amazing friendship" with God, our lives should be expanded and deepened with such breath of love.
